West Midlands is one of the 48 counties in England, a country in United Kingdom. As at 2014, West Midlands had a population estimate of 2,865,013 people residing in it. Therefore it is second in rank, in terms of population after County of Greater London which is the most populated county in England with an approximate of 8,539,256 inhabitants.
